ON THE JOB ACTIONS
Understand your own response to change

Respond positively by listening to what others have to say, trying new approaches or ideas for a short period before deciding, and maintain focus by re-prioritising your work in terms of its importance or urgency to the new situation.

Review how you feel about change
Think about a change that is about to happen and what it might mean for you. What concerns you about the change? What will be constructive about the change? What action can you take to overcome your concerns? Talk to somebody who will help you answer these questions, and give you a different view. If you wish to object to a change use a technique called Constructive Disagreement.

Improve practices
Choose an area where you believe working practices can be improved e.g. because you are continually encountering problems, and challenge the purpose of the process and make suggestions for simplification.
